Have you ever taken a moment to look past your safe little world into a world of lives too painful to even glance into? Sometimes I do. I will peek into the lives of the battered, the bruised, the forgotten, and the homeless. Most often I look the other way because I feel so overwhelmed and so helpless. Much is needed but I feel that there is no way that I can help. Recently I had an experience where God changed my heart and revealed to me how He works - with divine connections.

India Mission Facts

What is Operation Care India? As an extension of Operation Care –Dallas, Operation Care India is a mission outreach opportunity devoted to sharing the good news with the slum children of New Delhi.

What events are planned for the trip? The largest event of the trip is a one day celebration for approximately 2,000 slum children providing much needed backpacks, t-shirts, and food. Various ministry opportunities with the children in the city will be done in conjunction with the main event as time permits.

When? The team will leave D/FW airport on Saturday, July 18th at 4pm and return on Tuesday, July 28th (arrival time is scheduled for 9AM). For our flight, we have selected American Airlines with one stop in Chicago, then on to New Delhi. The Chicago to New Delhi portion is approximately 14-15 hours flying time. And since you will be crossing the International Date Line, you will lose a day going, but gain it back on the return trip home.

Christmas 2008 Results

The following is a brief summary of what transpired on

December 13, 2008

Dearest Volunteers,

Happy 2009 to each of you! Thank You for your part in
Christmas Gift 2008! From setting up each decoration and
folding chair, to taking down the draperies and sweeping
the Convention Center floor afterwards. In my opinion,
Christmas Gift 2008 made an eternal impact on everyone;
our homeless guests, as well as all of us!

It is almost impossible to measure the impact of the
event this size, but the presence of the Lord was obvious
in numerous ways. Prior to the event, prayer walks took
place around the Dallas Convention Center, and we invited
the Lord to be present and to draw the people to Himself,
in order that we could minister to them and glorify Him in
the process.
