Thank you so much for a job well done during Christmas Gift 2009 at the Dallas Convention Center last December 19th.

 Because you care, our friends experienced God’s love in action! Truly Jesus’ birthday celebration was a success. We were able also to give a special recognition to our homeless veterans who were given special honor through the Veterans Administration’s partnership with Operation Care. Five branches of the military were represented (Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard) and the presence of the Paralyzed Vets was an added bonus to the celebration. We appreciate each one!

 God blessed us with the following during Christmas Gift 2009!

• 11,160 homeless and indigent kids and their families
• 3,000 caring volunteers
• 1,419 decisions
• 7,500 meals served by Texas Baptist Men, breakfast from Krispy Kreme and Starbucks
• 22,000 Gatorade from Quaker Oats
• 5 truckloads of new clothing from Feed the Children
• Thousands of feet washed and given new socks and shoes
• 10,000+ new shoes from Buckner Int’l,  Soles for Kids, Feed the Children and GAIN USA.ORG
• 300+ pallets of gifts (clothes, toys, personal care products, blankets, sleeping bags, coats, Bibles purchased and some donated
• 23 Groups Entertainers
• 8 Hospitals/medical providers (Baylor, Parkland, UT, VA Hospital, etc)
• 4 guests reunited with families and were personally accompanied to the Greyhound Bus to be sent home to their families
• 8 bus loads of guests from Ft Worth, Irving, Arlington
• Media coverage – Channel 4, 8, 11, 27 and Promiseland TV
• Proclamation done by our beloved City Mayor, Tom Leppart

Inasmuch as the event went past our “normal” closing time please consider donating  to pay for overtime fee for our security and other expenses. We are happy to announce that according to ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) 96.6% of your donation goes to the program, 2.2% to the Administrative fee, 1.2% to the Fund Raising. Just to let you know that we are good stewards of God’s resources.
