Operation Care Dallas was featured in a Dallas Morning News article by Theodore Kim on December 16, 2007 about how our Christmas Gift party  reaches out to the needs of the homeless.

"To most, she is Susie Jennings, a Mesquite nurse who attends church and punches her timecard like everyone else.

To Dallas' destitute fringes, she is Oprah, Mother Teresa and the Energizer Bunny all fused into one.

What to make of Ms. Jennings – a diminutive, eternally cheerful woman who has suffered personal tragedy, built a large-scale Christian charity group from scratch and even spent time at a homeless shelter incognito?

"The goal is to get people out of homelessness, out of the lines at the homeless shelter," said Ms. Jennings........

NurseWeek featured Operation Care Dallas quest for medical professionals to assist the Dallas homeless in an article titled, "Calling All Nurses." The author, Teresa McUsic, covered background information and then described the need for medical professionals to assist in providing care for the homeless at annual Christmas Gift event hosted by Operation Care Dallas in the Dallas Convention Center.

Operation Care Dallas and Susan Jennings were featured in the November 26, 2007 issue of Advance for Nurses.   The article was titled "With Open Arms" and focused on the story of Susie Jennings, how she became passionate about helping the homeless, and the work that Operation Care Dallas does in serving the Dallas homeless community.
